Senior Paws Guide is reader-supported. To keep our guides free and independent, we use affiliate links. If you buy something through one of our links, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a normal link to a product page on a retailer's website (for example Amazon.co.uk), with a small tag that tells the retailer the visit came from us. If you then choose to buy the product, the retailer pays us a small commission from their own margin.
The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had visited the retailer directly. You are not charged anything extra, and no personal details about your purchase are shared with us.
Amazon Associates
Senior Paws Guide is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.co.uk and affiliated sites.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Other affiliate partners
We may also use other affiliate networks for relevant UK pet comfort retailers. These are always disclosed clearly on the page where they appear, and they never change the price you pay.
How we choose what to recommend
Affiliate commissions do not decide what we recommend. We choose products based on:
- independent research and UK availability,
- suitability for older dogs and cats (comfort, joint support, safety),
- real owner feedback and longer-term reviews,
- build quality and value for money.
If we think a popular product is not right for senior pets, we will say so — even when it would earn us a commission. If we cannot recommend a product in good conscience, we simply do not include it.
